FAQ

Do you do mini sessions?

Yes! A few times a year (Spring/Summer/Fall/Winter) I will hold mini sessions. They are typically 20 minutes/20 images/$200.
It is a set location and you sign your family up for an available time through my booking system. I do not offer mini sessions other than these specific planned dates a year. If you are interested in minis, reach out and I can add you to my email list so you're the first to get mini session sign-ups!

I'm afraid my kids won’t last for a full family session, can I just book a mini session?

I get it!! I have a 4 year old and 1 year old. I do not offer mini sessions other than the planned 4 times each year. When you book a full family session, there is flexibility for the kids to take breaks. I'll have more time to capture all of the different combinations, mommy and daddy/siblings/etc. And typically…that’s when I get the sweetest moments of the kiddos..when they are just being little (and wild)!

We have never taken family photos. What can we expect?

First of all, I’m so happy that you are looking into capturing your family. I don't think you will ever regret getting snapshots of the season you're in. The thought of family photos can be stressful(I’ve been there!) , but when you book with me, I will do my best to prepare your family before our session to make the most of our time together. I send a styling guide, helpful tips, questionnaire to get to know you, etc. When you arrive we keep it light and fun. Think dance parties, silly faces and tickle fights. I want to get the traditional pictures for you, but my favorites are always you just being you! The candid, unplanned moments of your family just loving on each other.

What can I expect during a newborn session?

Newborn stage is one of the hardest yet special seasons. Everyone is sleep deprived and emotions are high. My goal as a photographer is to make our time together peaceful and easy. Like family sessions, I send a styling guide, helpful tips, etc before our session to help prepare you. I typically come to your home and take pictures wherever we can find the most natural light. Most of the time that's the master, nursery or living room. We follow the baby's lead and I capture candid tender moments and some traditional everyone looking at the camera pictures. I do not pose the baby or use any props. We just use what you have. swaddles, bassinet, crib, etc. I'm typically at your home anywhere between 45 minutes to 1.5 hour. Just depends on the baby and the flow of things!

Where are you based? Do you travel?

I'm based out of Nolensville, TN.
I’m totally up for coming to you. I have visited all over Middle Tennessee-Franklin, Brentwood, Thompson's Station, Nolensville, Murfreesboro, Nashville, Mt. Juliet, etc.
I do have a travel fee for anything over 20 miles from my location. Reach out if you're interested!

When will I get my pictures?

You will receive an online gallery within 3 weeks.

How many pictures will I get?

I guarantee 50 edited images in your gallery.

Can I print my pictures anywhere?

Yes, you have printing rights to all of your images. I do have a store attached to your online gallery that delivers high quality prints, canvas, birth announcements, holiday cards, etc. It's worth checking it out! Keep in mind, not all printers are created equal.

Can we include extended family in our family session?

Family sessions are immediate family members only. If you would like others included, it's $50 for each additional couple/family unit.

How far in advance do I need to book a newborn session?

For any session, I think the sooner the better. My calendar typically books up 1-2 months in advance. If you know you are going to need pictures in 6 months, go ahead and reach out and we can pencil it in. For newborns, I typically try to schedule the session 10 days postpartum, so we will pencil in that date according to your due date. I'm totally flexible to make adjustments if the baby comes early or late.

I don't know what to wear! Can you help?

Yes! I send a styling guide and some helpful tips before each session to help ease the stress of that process!

How would you describe your photography style?

I would describe myself as a lifestyle photographer. I give prompts to help capture some classic/posed pictures but then also those candid, sweet moments. Each family dynamic/session is different and I try my best to capture your personalities and love for each other! My editing style is bright, pure and vibrant.
